Top 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada!

Calgary, Alberta – February 10, 2010

Concept Electric Ltd. is honoured to be named among the Top 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada. Concept ranked number six on the list that was announced today. The study, now in its sixth year, is published in the Globe and Mail and PROFIT Magazine.

This was the first time Concept participated in the survey. “Being recognized as one of the top ten in Canada is a tremendous achievement for our organization and our dedicated employees. Although Concept has seen tremendous growth, we have stayed true to a family oriented culture of caring about each other. Engaged employees are the greatest contributor to satisfied customers,” said Dave Kinley, Concept’s CEO.

In 2009 Merit Contractors Association awarded Concept the 2008 Willard Kirkpatrick Training award for its tremendous commitment to establishing and promoting training.

Becoming a Top Best Small and Medium Employer is a very detailed and competitive process. This national awards program recognizes top employers with between 50 and 400 employees. This study mirrors the renowned Best Employer in Canada initiative run by partner Hewitt Associates; however, caters to smaller businesses.

The rankings are determined using the results from Employee Opinion Surveys where 21 key engagement drivers are detailed and analyzed. The evaluation process also includes the assessment of organization practices and perspectives from the leadership team. This year, more than 200 companies across Canada registered to participate in the study.
