The majority of Concept’s journeymen and foremen began their apprenticeships with Concept and have progressed throughout their careers within the company. All apprenticeship administration is handled by Concept’s Human Resources department. A mass school sign up meeting is conducted prior to SAIT’s annual registration and dates for apprenticeship training are chosen at that time. HR’s goal is to make training registration and administration as easy as possible for the employees. Should apprentices require additional support or training in preparing for their next period completion, Concept sponsors the cost of these programs and HR coordinates their enrollment. Challenge exam fees are also reimbursed to the employees provided they have passed.
